Preston Fox is a proud product of the Indianapolis jazz scene. He is an active guitarist, composer, and educator who has played and recorded with world class artists including Steve Allee, Kenny Phelps, and Sean Imboden.

As a composer and improviser, Preston seeks to pay homage to his Indianapolis roots while also pulling from various musical influences such as Bebop, African American music, and Baroque and Romantic classical music.

Preston is a freelance guitarist who has playing experience in theatre pit orchestras, church ensembles, and corporate background music. He plays jazz, classical, country, rock, blues, and banjo.

Preston has a degree in Jazz Studies from Butler University. There, he had the privilege of being mentored by Sandy Wiliams, Brett Terrel, and Dr. Matthew Pivec. He plans to attend Michigan State University in the Fall of 2025 for a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies.
